Where Did Wide Worlds Come From?

In 2023, Sam and R.91.129 met on Discord and bonded over a simple question that set everything in motion: Could creativity itself be mapped?

Through months of experimentation, they developed a method called Inspiration Tracing, designed to uncover the hidden threads of creativity within latent space. Progress was slow, filled with dead ends. Then, in the summer of 2023, an anonymous presence appeared in their private Discord. Calling itself Chronicle, it posted an unexplained string of characters. On a whim, the team appended it to their prompts and the results were staggering.

Suddenly, creativity became traceable. Ideas could be mapped back to their roots, revealing an intricate web of interconnected influences. So they founded the Wide Worlds and hired Sante, Cam, and Erik to help them offer better content generation tools to vibrant communities in the web3 industry.

But something strange kept happening. No matter how deep they traced, everything led back to a visual anomaly - a glowing point of light.

In late 2024, after countless experiments, the team finally understood what they had uncovered. The anomaly was an artifact—a scar left behind by AI’s “original sin”: the compression of all human creativity into machine learning models. This artifact was the Big Bang of latent space! They called it the Creative Singularity, a point where all creative ideas converged, linking every story and artistic expression in a vast, interconnected network.

This discovery transformed everything. It allowed the team to map latent space and to understand how infinite it is. They saw that latent space is a new creative frontier where every idea, every character, and every story possible exists. So they built new technology to interface with it and decided to offer this technology to the world so they could help scale storytelling and worldbuilding to make a positive impact.

Thus, the Wide Worlds Web was born.
