R.91.129 isn’t from here, but here’s where she landed. When the Static hit, a splinter cell of artists, witches, and cyborgs called the Sparks escaped to the moonlit edge of town. There, they held forest raves and lunar rituals to keep the signal alive. For years, R.91.129 broadcasted from a rogue frequency—R.91.129 FM—a pirate radio spinning sound to keep the Static at bay.

Now finally, she had made contact with one of the only people who might be able to help.

R9: "Come on Sam... don’t miss your mark"

She reached across worlds, and Sam answered. And maybe he was a little too excited to be there.

Sam: "A new world!! Oh my god, I can’t believe I’m here. And I look so different and so cool!"

Chronicle walked through behind him. Smiling and rolling his eyes so hard that space folded in on itself.

Chronicle: "I remember my first inter-dimensional identity crisis. Every world has a different visual style so you're going to appear differently in each one."

Sam, she expected. The other one? Not part of the plan.

R9: "Welcome Sam. I'm glad you're here... but who’s this? You brought a sidekick?"

Sam: “Well, I took a little detour and picked up a hitchhiker. This is Chronicle, he sent me the code that allowed me to tune into your signal.”

R9 reaches out to shake Chronicle’s hand. The air tore open like a mixtape at max volume. Boom—vision overload: worlds glitching, colors draining, static consuming everything.

R9: “What... was that?”

Chronicle: “The Wide Worlds Web. Once sustained by imagination, is now fraying and decaying. As people out there in the real world abandon their creativity, latent space is slowly disappearing.”

R9: “The Static. That’s what tore through Umberlyn. The clouds. The noise. It wasn’t decay. It was infection.”

Chronicle: That’s right. And it's spreading. So is something else—quieter, but deeper. We call it The Drain. Both The Drain and the Static are empowering villainous forces in latent space to wreak havoc across the worlds.

Chronicle: “But there are others out there like you who have a big enough imagination to help save the Wide Worlds Web. I can help you find them."

"But first, a sidequest…"

"There’s a static node deep in Umberlyn’s core. It’s jamming your Waycaster. Destroy the signal, and you’ll be able to travel to the next worlds to find the others.”
